Located on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan, this year round 2500 SF home offers privacy while being within easy reach of all the many sights and amenities that Door County has to offer. The environment around the house is beautiful. This is a three bedroom two and a half bath house that is available for up to 6 people. The house is very open inside with many windows and skylights. Other features include:

• A large great room with fireplace and two story windows that look out to the lake 75' away

• Cathedral ceiling skylite spaces

• Spacious kitchen with many amenities 

• Adjacent large dining area with fireplace and walk out to patio

• A master bedroom suite with private bath area

• Three additional bedrooms

• A screened in porch facing the lake

• Main bathroom has a large double tub

• Outside stone patio and barbeque area

The beach in front of the house is rocky, reminiscent of the coast of Maine, although it does change dramatically within a few hundred feet. There is a wonderful county park within about 3/4 mile of the house that is public, has parking and is sandy while being picturesque, since it sits near the coastal lighthouse that can be seen from the shore in front of the home.

The nearest town, Sturgeon Bay, with a population of about 9000, is home to several interesting museums, including Door County and maritime, movie theatres, live theatre, bars, restaurants and shopping. In the same general vicinity, one can find several golf courses, fishing excursions, boat rentals and more. 

The house is located in an area that makes it easy to miss the traffic congestion that often plagues much of Door, particularly during the summer months. Yet within easy reach is the rest of Door County, with its small touristy villages, beaches, cliffs, dunes, forests, and parks. Gills Rock, the furthest most northerly point in Door County without taking the ferry across to explore Washington Island, is about a 50 minute drive from the house.

In 2008 the house is available for rent starting at as little as about $285 per day, with a minimum 7 days stay for 6 persons or less. Please call or email for further information on available dates. Please indicate the number of days you are interested in renting and the number of persons in your party. Neither pets or smoking is allowed. A rental deposit of $400 is held until return of the key and the house is inspected.
